Our complete fertilizer application system helps you reap the benefits of deep band fertilizer; it adapts to most applications when liquid or dry fertilizer banding is preferred. Our high capacity, auto steer fertilizer cart “steers” itself to precisely follow in the tracks of any implement, thereby staying off your rows. Designed to band granular fertilizer, it can be used in any application such as fall, spring or side dress using liquid or dry fertilizer.
The Montag Generation One (GEN I) metering system is unique to the industry with its well-tested design made of 300 series food grade stainless steel. Because of its simple design, long life and unique metering ability, it has become the standard for deep banding dry fertilizer.
The latest and most versatile of the Montag dry fertilizer metering systems is Generation Two (GEN II). It was developed in response to customer inputs but maintains most all of the features of the Montag Generation I metering system which has made Montag the standard of the dry fertilizer banding industry. With its ability to add rows and configure drives you can now easily invest in a metering platform that can be adapted to your operation as it changes and evolves for years to come.
The 2208 is the latest product offering in the GEN II family. Like the larger 2218, the 2208 is a very feature rich metering system, capable of being used for cover crops, fertilizer application or a combination of the two. Available in either 60 or 100 cubic foot tank capacity the metering system can apply up to 800 lbs. to the acre at 5 mph. while being gentle enough to safely meter cover crop seed.
The 2108 is the latest product offering in the GEN II family. Like the larger 2218 and 2208 the 2108 is a very feature rich metering system, but with a single tank. It is capable of being used for cover crop or fertilizer application.
Available in either 30 or 50 cubic foot tank capacity the metering system can apply up to 500 lbs. to the acre at 5 mph. while being gentle enough to safely meter cover crop seed.
When Montag decided to enter the Cover Crop market we knew we had the core product to meet growers’ needs. With thousands of acres behind the Generation 2 delivery system we had just the platform to build off of and with a partnership with Hagie Manufacturing we started from the ground up and designed a machine to fit the STS10 and STS12 platform. We started with a new 12 row base and twin bin design, industry leading capacity, 120’ Hybrid boom and 90’ boom, integrated scales, ISOBUS rate control, and row to row accuracy unmatched in the industry.
The Montag liquid fertilizer system is designed for banding applications where the use of liquid fertilizer is desired. It consists of the Montag Auto-Steer cart with the proper-sized liquid tank. The use of the Auto-Steer cart in the system allows for ease of use as well as correct placement while staying off of your rows. Allows for banding in both planter and tillage applications as well as side dressing.
